About Dr. Bambi Rattner, Psy.D.

I’m a licensed psychologist specializing exclusively in intensive trauma therapy. For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my practice to helping clients process trauma deeply and efficiently through a unique combination of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a psychologist. After earning my BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Rochester, I completed my Master’s in Human Development with a focus on counseling, and then went on to earn my Psy.D. at William James College. I am licensed in Massachusetts and New York and hold certifications in EMDR, progressive counting, and psychedelic-assisted therapy.

My journey into intensive therapy began during a fellowship in EMDR, where I was introduced to the transformative power of multi-day, immersive trauma work. Over the years, I have developed my own approach — integrating attachment-focused care, body-based techniques, and deep compassion — to help clients access lasting healing faster than traditional weekly therapy.

I believe every person has an innate capacity to heal.

My Philosophy

In therapy, I act as a catalyst, creating conditions for your inner Self — your wise, compassionate core — to lead the healing process. IFS has taught me that there are no bad parts; every part of you has a positive intention, even if it shows up as fear, resistance, or self-criticism. Healing happens when these parts are understood, supported, and reintegrated into the whole.

I value honesty, compassion, and curiosity in my work. I am directive when needed, yet deeply respectful of your internal world. My goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered as you navigate the dark places of your past to reclaim your present and future.

Why I Do What I Do

Trauma can leave us feeling fragmented, stuck, or disconnected. My mission is to help you reconnect with your authentic Self, release old burdens, and experience life with greater freedom, clarity, and lightness. Through intensive therapy, we can achieve profound breakthroughs in days — a faster, more effective path to healing than traditional approaches often allow.
